went thrift store shopping today....and i scored huge!

1. a pair of Christian Louboutin heels - peep toe. you can't even tell someone has worn these before. amazing.

2. a sick vintage cardigan - its black with thin camel stripes and huge pockets. it will be perfect with skinny jeans and tough boots

3. a sweet (faux) fur bag - similar to this one by chanel. it still had tags on it....so freakin' cute

4. AND best of all....I found the perfect jacket for my costume!!!! whee.

Since I never did this when it was "cool" on facebook....

1. I have the sense of humor of a high school teenage boy. I laugh at inappropriate things like when someone falls down or when someone says the word "weenie". I love any movie with Jonah Hill, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughn.

2. I love to "dance my face off" and want to continue to do so until I am the ripe old age of 105. You'll probably see me as a Dancing Granny at a corn/mullet/strawberry festival.

3. You know I have a crush on you when I get really quiet & can't even think of simple conversation.

4. I love to travel. I can't even explain how excited I get to explore a new city.

5. I subscribe to New York Magazine because deep in my heart I know I belong in NYC. I also like to learn about the best places to go when I finally get to go there.

6. Fashion rules my world. I read every fashion magazine every month cover to cover. I am just now getting into my own style and I think it's quite fun, thank-you.

7. I am pretty sure have a damaged soul and I'd like to think that someday I will meet someone that will change my life and teach me that not all guys are evil liars who will cause me mental harm.

8. I like to put chocolate frosting on toast. My Dad used to make it for me sometimes.

9. I want to go back to Germany and visit the places that I went when I was a wee kid.

10. I have had a mad crush on Justin Timberlake since the 6th grade. I have seen him five times in concert....once I saw the same concert 3 times (oh those were the days). I have zero shame in sharing this with people.

11. I want a bulldog and I will name her/him Clementine. ('cause you know Clemmie would be a sick nickname!). Clementine will have a spiked collar and wear hats to match

12. I LOVE taking yoga. I would like to go on a yoga retreat somewhere cool like Bali...or the beach.

13. In my own little world, I am a huge celebrity.

14. I really want to write a book one day about my life stories & go on a book tour.

15. My favorite cereal is Peanut Butter Captain Crunch.

16. I hate grumpy, angry people. I really want to tell them to let loose, dance it out, smile, laugh and enjoy themselves.

17. If I had three wishes the first one would be to "be able to speak french & spanish".

18. The second one would be to win the lottery....when it's like...100 million dollars and I would not like it to be taxed either. Thanks in advance.

I am not in a good mood today. This doesn't happen often. Usually things go in one ear and out the other. But today I am not feeling it. So here goes....
1. Please please please, NEVER use "I am too busy, I am so busy, I have been so busy" as an excuse to be an a-hole. It pisses me off and I hate it. Hence, the bad mood.

2. I hate when things that should not bother me, do....A LOT. Then it consumes my mind and I get mad at myself for thinking about it. I wish I didn't care so much.

3. People who drive mini-vans should only be allowed to drive during certain hours of the day. I have driven behind 3 of them today and have yelled "worst driver in america" every single time.

4. I know I am lucky to have a job, but it still brings me down when I think of what happened to me. I always put 110% into everything I do and I just hope that one day someone will notice that. I can only hope that this is a blessing in disguise and there are greater things ahead.

5. Why can't I ever get the winning lottery ticket! Come on!

Monday:
As a regular person would, I wore it on a piece of clothing. I pinned it to a jacket I was wearing, just peeking out from under my scarf.

Tuesday:
I decided my already outstanding leopard purse was not feeling so spectacular, so I pinned my brooch to the side of it.

Wednesday:
The brooch is back! This time, I fastened it to my red scarf for an extra jazzy look!

Thursday:
Thursday called for a casual jeans day in the office, so I put my little brooch on my belt buckle! Woo hoo!

It's Princess Sean Avery!

Before we continue to digress, ESPN decided to show this fashion piece on Sean Avery instead of doing the obvious preparation for hockey season. And yeah, we all knew some interesting things about Sean during his tenure here. The women he dates, the clothes he wears, etc.

But the truth has finally come out, and it's all good reason to either no longer be fearful of him, or even more so.

He admitted that he never thought he was gonna be an athlete growing up. He was more into dressing up his babysitters' dolls then rolling around in the mud with Tonka Trucks. His young boy hobbies were not collecting baseball cards or playing with Batman action figures. He enjoyed the fine, vibrant, silky smooth looks of women's clothing.

"It's probably my desire for dress up that brings me back to women's clothing," said Avery in the interview.

Handbags, sun bonnets, and evening gowns. Just a few of Sean's many passions off the ice. It was even on his mind during last year's playoffs when he decided to write a letter to the editor of fashion magazine Vogue asking if he could intern with them.

He spent the entire summer critiquing high heels and coach bags, and when New York Fashion Week came along, he was sitting alongside Wynona Rider and Martha Stewart watching the clothes go by on the runway.

Well, we all know if he was commissioner of the NHL, he'd be able to beat out Bettman for Best Dressed. He also thinks he would do a much better job at marketing the sport. Of course, even a mule could do a better job than Bettman.

Avery stated "They haven't figured it out that villains and heroes are what sells...Nobody cares about Jarome Iginla and guys like that. They're just not exciting enough."

Wow. Good point. The only time I ever really cared about Jarome Iginla was when I had the seventh pick in my fantasy draft and he was the best available.

So when the Stars come to town October 20, the Rangers have nothing to worry about. If Avery gets in someone's face, it probably because their skate laces didn't match their jersey stripes, or their helmet is the wrong tint of blue.

It's sad to see, but the current style trends are much more complex then a Scandanavian mullet and a gapped-tooth grin.

I have recently developed the hots for Sean Avery. He got traded to the Dallas Stars from the New York Rangers this summer. Whenever we would play the Rangers, I would always laugh because he was so darned crazy and I believed he would probably eat your babies if he could. In fact, I used to yell "Sean Avery will eat your babies" at the games.

Well, this summer Mr. S. Avery decided to take on an internship at Vogue, my favorite fashion magazine. I began to read his blog online and quickly discovered he loved fashion just as much as I did! He talked about how the guys in the locker room made fun of him for his Louis Vuitton loafers and his YSL ties.

But he said "well at least I look good unlike those cavemen!"

Anyways, after of all of this excitement, I came to the conclusion that I have the hots for this baby eater! It's kind of hot the way he curses at people and beats them to a bloody pulp and then puts on his amazing Gucci suits and strolls out looking absolutely divine.

Here are some more reasons why I heart Mr. Avery for your enjoyment purposes: (my comments are italicized)

1. Denis Gauthier of the Phoenix Coyotes bodychecked Kings forward Jeremy Roenick in a 2005 preseason game, giving Roenick a concussion. Avery's response was "I think it was typical of most French guys in our league with a visor on, running around and playing tough and not back anything up," generating much controversy with the French-Canadian public.

2. Because of his style of play, Avery has made many enemies in the NHL. In a 2007 poll of 283 NHL players, 66.4% said that Sean Avery was the most hated player in the league. (How hot is that?)

3. There is a NHL rule named after him.

4. Avery was on the "Sexiest Man Alive 2007" list by People magazine, on which Matt Damon was number one. (Avery was robbed)

5. According to one fashion report "Avery is a self-confessed clotheshorse who has been known to give girlfriends advice on how to dress, and in interviews has expressed a dream to become a fashion editor after his days on the ice". (My dream too!)

6. New Line Cinema will presumably answer that question in a romantic comedy feature about professional hockey player Sean Avery's experiences as an intern at the fashion bible Vogue. (In)

I spent three hours yesterday drinking my Starbucks and reading my 790 page September Vogue. It featured Fall 2008 Fashion Week(...which actually happened last Spring).

This week is New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park, where designers will showcase looks for Spring 2009. Basically predicting (and telling people) what will be the hot items for springtime.
